Dai An industrial zone has been built in 2 stages. In the first stage, 74 ha out of 170.82 ha were completed its infrastructure. In the second, 96.82 ha are on progress. The Provincial People's Committee has licensed Dai An Joint stock company to plan an expanded project for this industrial zone to submit the Government and other relevant agencies.

According to Mr. Duong Van Thang, an architect, Deputy General Director of Dai An Joint stock company and Director of Steering Committee of Dai An Industrial Zone, Dai An company had looked many places for one to set up an industrial zone. After having gone over 6 provinces, Hai Duong province was selected by them to be built an industrial zone.

Main shareholders of Dai An Company said that Hai Duong is composed all favourable factors, those are: far away from Hanoi Capital only 50 km, from Hai Phong port 51 kms and lying beside National Highway No 5 and along Cao Xa railway station. Moreover, Hai Duong authorities have given many investment incentives for investors, from the policies to specific activities. For many times, provincial leaders themselves go to residential quarters to explain and encourage residents living there to move to another places for the sake of the provinceeees citizens when the industrial zone has been completed. Currently, the compensation for the residents there in stage 2 has been well implemented. Stage 2 has been carried out actively.

As commitment with investors, Hai Duong province and Electricity Corporation of Vietnam has provided only for Dai An industrial zone and its surroundings a transformer station 110/22 KV - 2x25 MVA worth 100 billion VND with no charge for Dai An company. Hai Duong province also gives favourable conditions for Dai An industrial zone to use clean water with capacity of 11,000 - 20,000 cubic meter per day from the clean water syster of Hai Duong City. Up to now, Dai An company has invested nearly 170 billion VND out of total investment of 274 billion VND for the industrial zone's infrastructure. The infrastructure of Dai An industrial zone: barriers, electricity, internal roads, water and sewage systems, environment, fire fighting system... have been built in conformity with international standard.

No other industrial zone in Hai Duong province but Dai An has such beautiful infrastructure. And only Dai An industrial zone has come to operation with such rapid speed. Only 7 months after starting building, Dai An industrial zone received the first investor from German. After 19 months, Dai An industrial zone has selected by 9 FDI projects with total capital of more than 90 million USD. Currently, Sumidenso Company, a sub-company of Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, which has operated in Dai An Industrial Zone, has introduced Sumitomo Wiring System Ltd., Company to rent 6.8 ha in Dai An Industrial Zone for building a factory, which produce high-tech electric wire.
