This increase is mainly made by the high demand in Nhi Chieu (Kinh Mon district), Kim Thanh, Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Chi Linh, Nam Sach districts and Hai Duong City due to the operation of many investment projects in these regions such as Tung Kuang Company, ANT Company and enterprises in Nam Sach industrial zone. Along with the development of industry, life standard and incomes of rural citizens raise, making high demand for electricity. When pumping waterlogged water and in holidays, 110kv transformer stations in Chi Linh, Lai Khe, Nghia An are overloaded in rush hours. Although medium-tension electricity network is repaired each year, electricity operates stably but the rural medium-tension has been recently transferred and received to Hai Duong Power Company so that has not got much major repair. This makes regular problems.

In order to satisfy the electricity demand of socio-economic development, Hai Duong Power Company has invested tens of million VND in restored and upgraded electricity network. The project for Hai Duong electricity network improvement to 22kv-electricity level has been implemented so as to explore effectively the transformer s in Dong Nien station and prevent overloading for Hai Duong City. This is a major project with the total wire is 104 km, including air wire and underground cable. Total investment capital for the project is 108 billion VND composed by the loan from World Bank of 75 billion VND and the capital of Electricity Corporation of Vietnam (EVN). Up to now, the project has implemented by 60%, some of the wires have been in operation. Hai Duong Power Company has completed to build Hai Duong - Quan Goi 35-kv wire, satisfying electricity demand of enterprises along National Road 5. Thanks to this, electricity is not cut off in industry in this region when lacking power.

Along with improving and upgrading electricity network for industry and in Hai Duong City, and with the interest of EVN, Hai Duong Power Company has invested to improve rural electricity network. In which, the work of upgrading 6-kv and 10-kv electricity networks to 22-kv network in the whole of Chi Linh district has a big significance. All of the 6-kv and 10-kv electricity networks have been invested 14 billion VND to be upgraded to 22-kv network. Improving and upgrading 110-kv transformer station in Pha Lai town (Chi Linh district) costs 12 billion VND, raising the capacity of 110-kv transformer station in Cong Hoa commune costs 9.5 billion VND. Previously, 6-kv electricity networks of Bac An, Hoang Hoa Tham communes and Ben Tam town had been invested over 4 billion VND to be upgraded to 22-kv network. Currently, all the electricity networks in Chi Linh district are 22-kv and 351-kv for supplying power safely, stably and continuingly for the whole district. Along with meeting the demand of electricity in Chi Linh district in the following years, these electricity networks can supply power for Nam Sach, Kinh Mon, Kim Thanh district when needed. Incomes of Hai Duong Power Company can be raised thanks to the increase of electricity products and decrease of electricity loss.
